Located on the banks of the River Tees on the North East coast of the United Kingdom, TAG Energy Solutions’ facilities are ideally placed to serve large offshore projects due to its proximity to the North Sea and excellent land and sea transport links.
Steeped in engineering heritage, TAG Energy Solutions is creating a new chapter in the history of the site in Haverton Hill, Billingham.
As one of the largest shipyards in the UK, it has seen the construction of more than 340 ships and mobile offshore units under the ownership of the Furness Shipbuilding Company and, latterly, Swan Hunter.
TAG ES has made significant investments in the site since 2006 to create a modern and state of the art site to effectively serve the offshore energy industries.
The site, on the north bank of the river, has 42 acres of land featuring a large construction hall, the new automated tubular production facility, a new modern blast and paint facility, an extensive wet dock and 6,000te load out quay.
For larger projects TAG ES has access to facilities at the North Sea Supply Base on the south bank of the river and a deep water integration facility located at Graythorp close to the mouth of the Tees.
